RAM AirTECH LITE – Carbon Filter for Grow Tent Odour Control

The RAM AirTECH LITE carbon filter helps control unwanted odours in grow tents and small indoor growing spaces. Part of RAM's AirTECH range, its compact design combines machine-compacted Australian activated carbon with a washable pre-filter for effective filtration and straightforward upkeep.

With four sizes for 100mm to 200mm ducting and airflow ratings from 250 to 900 m³/h, you can choose the option that suits your extraction setup.

Why choose the AirTECH LITE?

• Densely packed carbon: Machine compaction helps minimise gaps in the carbon bed, reducing opportunities for air to pass through without proper contact with the carbon.

Choosing the right filter

Match the filter's connection diameter to your fan and ducting, and check that its airflow rating is suitable for your system. Ducting and filtration add resistance, so use the fan and filter manufacturers' guidance when planning your setup rather than relying on connection size alone.

Sizes and airflow ratings

• 4-inch: 100mm connection, 200mm listed body length, maximum airflow 250 m³/h.
• 5-inch: 125mm connection, 300mm listed body length, maximum airflow 350 m³/h.
• 6-inch: 150mm connection, 400mm listed body length, maximum airflow 600 m³/h.
• 8-inch: 200mm connection, 400mm listed body length, maximum airflow 900 m³/h.

Fitting and maintenance

For a typical extraction setup, securely suspend the filter high in the tent and connect it to the fan inlet using suitable ducting and clamps, or a compatible direct connection. Follow the manufacturer's fitting instructions and ensure the supports can safely carry the filter.

Check the pre-filter regularly for dust build-up. Remove and wash the sleeve when needed, then let it dry completely before refitting. Keep the activated-carbon filter itself dry. Keeping the sleeve clean helps prevent dust from restricting airflow through your system.
