How to get started

1. Open the perforated front panel of the box and cut a small X in the side of the block’s bag, following the supplier’s setup directions.
2. Mist the opening two or three times daily to maintain humidity, without letting it dry out.
3. Keep the block in indirect or ambient light with fresh air. Check it regularly and keep the growing area clean.
4. When the mushrooms have developed fully, gently twist them away from the block. Development time varies with growing conditions.

• Temperature: 15–20°C.
• Humidity: above 80%; mist regularly or use a suitable humid growing space.
• Light: indirect sunlight or ambient light, rather than strong direct sun.
• Air exchange: give developing mushrooms fresh air to prevent a build-up of stale air.
