Big, round, yellowish-brown bulb for maincrop production. Outstanding storage ability and first-class quality and flavour.

WHERE TO SOW

Indoors - Early sowings in trays under glass at 14°C only lightly covering with compost.  Prick off seedlings into trays when about 5cm tall, 5 cm apart.  Harden off and plant in growing site 15cm apart in April.

Outdoors - Later sowings in the growing site 1cm deep in rows 30cm apart.  Thin out seedlings in two stages until spacings of 15cm between plants are achieved.  Onions require a very fertile soil.  Dig the onion bed in the autumn incorporating manure or compost.
