Introduced nearly a century ago and still one of the favourites for main crop sowing. Deep red flesh with a marvellous flavour and stores well.

WHERE TO SOW - Sow thinly direct into the growing site 2cm deep in rows 30cm apart.
WHAT TO DO NEXT - Do not transplant. Instead, thin out seedlings when large enough to handle to 15cm apart.
