INDOORS
Early sowings in a glasshouse or cold frame in individual pots. Gradually harden off before planting out in late May.
OUTDOORS
Direct sowings in growing site, 2 seeds 6cm (2 1/2") deep every 20cm (8") in rows 60cm (24") apart. Thin to one seedling as soon as large enough to handle. Water regularly. Protect plants from slugs during the early stages of growth.

July onwards
