Spidex is apredatory mite which actively searches for spider mite and literally sucks them dry.Spidex mites are also known as Phytoseiulus persimilis, a predatory mite who feeds on the two spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae). This approach to pest control is biological and preferred by most organic growers. The conditions of your grow rooms environment are important and your humidity should be greater than 75% and the temperature above 20°C/68°F for some hours of the day. Phytoseiulus persimilis does not enter diapauses. The adults are mixed with wood chip into a handy 100 ml bottle with a dosage plug and introduce in infested areas only. Simply turn and shake the bottle gently before use and then sprinkle wood chip substance onto leaves. Biological beneficials have a very short life span and should be introduced as soon as possible. Storage is difficult so use as soon as possible after receipt. Each 100ml will contain approximately 2000 mites. Take a look at our biological pest control range.
